I had a dream last night of racing with my buddy... and when I woke up, I realized that this place is slowly trying to convince us that it's better to be here than in our own homes.

Is that really okay with everyone?

Well, I tried exploring the woods today and ended up tripping over a hornet's nest. THAT was completely not worth the running I had to do to get away from the little buggers I'll tell you all that right now!

Well, things aren't all that different. I went to the beach yesterday to get in some swim time and ended up getting burnt. THAT was fun. I mean, the swimming and the sights were great too... and I ate a vended hotdog. THAT rocked.

I stopped a mugging. It was completely and totally ace.

Alright, I went out for a walk the other day at around 10pm-ish, give or take a few minutes and I heard someone shouting for help. It was too much of a superhero situation to pass up, plus I know I can fight, so off I went toward the voice.

Turns out someone thought robbing women was easy to do in the dark, but acouple of punches to the face and a good slamming kick changed the mugger's mind real quick.

I didn't get to see who I'd saved, but it doesn't even matter. I just feel completely awesome today for doing it. HEH!

Today, something odd happened. I was walking along after work and I paused for a moment. I couldn't hear anything. Literally. There wasn't any sound to disturb me. No building mechanics, no electric humming, no vehicles, no chatter from strangers. It was as if everyone on the planet had vanished, all machinery had stopped, everything had come to a stand still...

And despite how amazing the silence was...

It made me feel very small, and very alone.

Geh. It's not a good thing, peace and quiet. My ears are supposed to hear the roar of engines and the whining of Hayato complaining that he can't find his socks!

I have to figure this out.

I bought myself a hat today for the cold weather. It helps that I'm working now... that, and I got this sweet little apartment! Pretty cheap and not overly furnished, but heck; it's better than nothing!

I also picked up a "Festive Season Cook Book" for my secret santa. The stuff in it looks amazingly tasty, so I hope the person I give it to enjoys it! . . .or at least knows how to cook!

Naw, naw; I'm kidding. I could actually follow the directions and ended up making some pretty tasty stuff (I'm keepin' the book for me)... so when the day rolls around, I'll give'em a homemade dish!

Maaaa maa, such a funky place is alright I guess! Today I managed to beat three people in a moped race! Of course, it required borrowing one.... but I returned of course. :D

...but now I'm FRIGGIN' starving... I need some of those bread loaves I saw in the shoppe the moped belonged to...
